Let's have some fun! I saw this in a journal did, and it looked interesting. Of course I'm going to do Snowshine. Bear in mind Showshine has a slightly antiquated way of speaking. And while she's cute and little and probably the most copacetic Siren you'll meet.... she's still a Hippocampus and as a rule they are arrogant jerks. (And I'm being generous there!!)

So here is the character interview --

And here goes the questions:

-A. How old are you?

I have not yet reached my fifth year.

-B. Do you want a hug?

No.

-C. Have any bad habits?

A frequent complaint from Adagio concerning my interactions with Mother. I am often accused of behaving more like a dirt-crawler pony than the young Siren that I am because I enjoy Mother holding me.

-D. You a virgin?

...

I am a pup, and have yet to reach reproductive maturity. /

And now Mother is choking on her drink....

-E. Have any children?

You should not ask questions whose answers you already possess. It's rude. And this was a rather stupid question to ask of me.

-F. Favorite food or drink?

Freshly killed meat, however my favorite part is the liver.

Aria and Mother insist I eat the other organs occasionally to ensure I get a balanced diet. It's my belief Aria just wants the liver to herself.

-G. Killed anyone?

I believe the answer to the previous question would indicate a firm Yes.

-H. What is your idea of a date?

In terms of a pleasant evening, a full belly surrounded by the warmth and protection of my family.

If you are referring to courtship rituals, Hippocampi do not date.

-I. Any artistic talents?

I sing.

-J. Love anyone?

A curious word, "love". It encompasses so many broad definitions and is used so casually and so frequently that it is almost rendered pointless. However, while Mother is not a Siren, she is good to me, and I enjoy both her attention and her company. There is certainly a fondness I possess for her.

-K. What is your job?

What a pointless question.

-L Favorite season & least favorite season

I enjoy all the season but for Winter. The landscape is colorless and bare, the weather cold and dark, the hunting poor, and the snow and ice make walking with my leg braces treacherous. I much prefer the warmth, color, and vibrant life that can be found in the other three seasons.

(Don't tell mother, but spring is the best season for hunting. Newborn kittens are so delicious!)

-M. Who's your best friend?

Hippocampi do not have friends. Friendship is a dirt crawler/pony concept. However, the pups from Adagio's Riot and the five adolescent human females Mother tutors are certainly considered allies.

-N. Hobbies?

At present my time is devoted to honing my vocal magic and observing the complex relationship between Indigo Zap and Sour Sweet as they both antagonize and brutally defend each other in equal measure. Aria believes they will end up killing one another one day. Sonata and I think Sunny Flare will eventually get fed up with their bickering and poison their vitamin water.

-O. What are you going to do when this tag is over?

Dinner, and then steal Lemon Zests headphones to drown out Duet's incessant laughter.

-P. What is your eye color?

Pink

-Q. Are you good? Or bad?

You ponies never fail to amuse and perplex my kind. How can a creature be good or bad? And by whose perspective are they being judged?

However, for the sake of the questionnaire...

Mother says I am good. Pony society says I am bad. I believe I am simply me.

-R. If you could get anything right now what would it be?

I would enjoy spending time with Sunny Flare. Mother does not approve, but I allow Sunny Flare to use my venom to experiment with poisons. She is quite skilled at it, and I appreciate her quiet intensity.

-T. Does your name have a special meaning?

My full name is Dal Segno Shine, however Mother shortened it to Snowshine and out of either laziness or necessity it stuck.  

-V. Any siblings?

I am the sole survivor from my clutch, however in a generous context the riot pups and Mothers pet humans could be considered my siblings.

-W. Where do you live?

With Mother, Adagio, and the rest of our odd family. Sometimes we live in a small house in the human world in a territory called Canterlot. Sometimes we live in a military guarded enclosing outside Ponyville dubbed Campitown where Mother and the Night Princess have created a school for us unorthodox pups to learn how to master the full potential of our vocal magics.

-X. Do you find yourself attractive?

We are creatures of sea, song, and savage majesty. Our natural beauty should go without saying.

-Y. Was this fun?

It is my hope that it would be enlightening.

-Z. Any last words?

I will bite you. Do not make me.

Hi guys!! Well I'm back from Baltimore and I have to say that I really enjoyed the convention! Spending time with Moss and Onna was great, and I helped sell a lot of swag! XD

I got to meet Kelly Sheridan, danced at the Grand Galloping Gala, and got some great photos with some of my all time favorite cosplayers! Not to mention all the fantastic art from the Marketplace I took home. <3

Many thanks to Ludu, Mutio, Gamma, and all the other wonderful people who visited me at the booth whose names escape me because I'm still a little con-addled. ;

Next year I hope to be free range and spend some time at panels and with more friends! Also, seeing so many creative people and amazing costumes makes me want to cosplay SO HARD for next year! Problem is, I know more Ancient Greek than I know about sewing. Which is less than nothing. :/

I have until next Bronycon to figure things out. This is going to be an interesting year. XD

Any Cosplayers out there who can give me a few tips? Things to NOT do? Especially concerning wigs. Wigs scare me.... I don't know how to care for them.

Hey guys!

This Thursday the resident Siren fanatic will be heading on her way to Baltimare for the annual Bronycon convention! My hopes are to meet Kelly Sheridan, sndnget photos with my favorite cosplayers Bloo, Sarahndipity, Shellbeanie, and Maddymoiselle. ^_^ <------- Seriously, have you seen their Dazzling and Sunset cosplays? They are amazing!

I had a nice turnout of questions my last journal. Thanks guys!! I though before I leave, why not have another go at Q&A? I really love the questions you all come up with. :3 And in honor of the hilarity and horror that was "Fetch" with Duet and Adagio, I figured we'd go with the pups this time around.

Any burning questions about Adagio's toothy candy colored riot?

Ah, I should mention that I don't have plans for them as adults.... I'm focusing on them as pups for now.

To recap, since there are a lot of pups ...

Toccata Daze is the blue pup. She's the de facto leader of the group, but only because the others really aren't up to the job. Like her mother she has the charisma to keep the group in line. She has best rapport with all of them, and even gets along decently with the adults. To piss of Adagio, Sonata calls Toca "Taco". Toca is a little odd because she actually cares about the welfare of her siblings, and like her aunt Aria has the capacity to look beyond the immediate present and think of the future. They way things are going she doesn't think it looks good. This hasn't gone unnoticed by the others. She's even gone over Sunset's head and brought her concerns up with Princess Luna....

Madrigal Glory is the tall, lanky purple pup. She tends to take after Aria a lot in her grumpiness, and it shows. Mads is quiet and broody, who much prefers the company of the machines she enjoys ripping apart and putting back together as opposed to her loud and irritating siblings. She gets on best with Snowshine, who is calm, quiet and not very active.

Messa di Voce Grace is the peachy pup with dark purple hair. Never before was there ever such an agreeable young Siren! Her sisters and mother joke that she acts more like a pony than a proper hippocampus, what with her hanging out with Princess Twilight, book learning, less aggressive behavior and curious nature. It will get her into trouble one day, they all agree.

Allegrezza Allure is the spitting image of her mother. While she has her mother's charm, cleverness and manipulating ways, she completely lacks her mother's drive. Grits, as AJ calls her, is...in a word, lazy. But when push comes to shove Grits will get off her butt and help her sisters when they really need her. And trust me, if you've made her get up it's the last thing you'll ever do. One thing Grits does enjoy is a good fight, and she's very good at winning. The sister she enjoys pestering the most is Toca, as she is the only sibling to really listen to her.

Duet Cascade is the teal pup with the white patches. She's a piebald, which is actually not that uncommon within the Hippocampi gene pool. Duet is short, stocky, hyper and absolutely crazy. Like all little kids she loves to have fun and will run rings around anyone who tries to keep up with her. Unfortunately she has a tendency leap before she looks and to bite before she thinks... Sunset has the scars to prove it. Her sisters utilize this by pointing her in a direction and watch the carnage unfold. However, Duet isn't stupid, and while she knows she's not the brightest crayon in the box, she does trust and depend on her siblings to help fill in for her shortcomings. Duet is loyal to her family unit, so long as no one betrays the group. Definitely the boisterous bruiser of the riot, both physically and magically. She is able to harmonize with herself, and this odd ability to sing two notes simultaneously means her vocal magic is a potent weapon.

And then there is Staccato Crash. The Champion of the clutch who ditched Adagio and her freak show to live the life of a proper hippocampus. Staccato is the total package, and had she fought the riot, she would have won. If she has fought Snowshine.... well I think the odds would be a little more even. ;3

Ok. I've bored everyone enough. Lol!

I think everyone who is attending Bronycon has replied. Time for a new journal.

Anyone else gonna be in Baltimore next month?

I'm traveling with P.Moss & Onnanoko and will be working at their booth in the vendors hall. Since I'm going to be working (they're paying me in food! Ohm nom nom!) sadly my time isn't 100% my own. However I'd love for you lovely peeps to swing by the table and say Hi!
